Reclamation
Shell Valley works extensively with local bentonite, gypsum, gravel and other mining operations to provide assistance in planning, permitting and reclamation.
These projects involve many of our other areas of expertise such as:
We have worked with the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality - Land Quality Division, following their guidelines to successfully prepare approved mine plans. Shell Valley has been hired to prepare entire mine plans, including all supporting information.
We also regularly prepare mine plans meeting the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) 3809 Plan of Operation requirements and we have prepared Environmental Assessments for mining operations that comply with federal agency regulations. Our combined staff has over 60 years of experience with these permitting and regulatory agencies.
Trimble GPS technology is applied to locate, map and survey mining and natural resource features, which then can provide land area, habitat characteristics and topsoil/overburden volumes.
Our field staff are all Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) certified.
